About Us

IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE’s highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities.

How To Join

Becoming a member of the IEEE is easy! For our organization, Fresno State students just need to join both IEEE’s national organization and our local chapter.

Joining National IEEE

For student members of IEEE, the member dues required are substantially less than those of professionals. As of the 2017 membership dues cycle, student full-year dues are a meager $32.00! To take advantage of this discount, first visit this landing page on the IEEE.org website.

Once you have created your account and paid your member dues on the national level, you will be given an IEEE National ID Number. This is your unique ID as an IEEE member and is a requirement for all members to have within our local chapter. To locate your IEEE National ID Number, visit your personal profile page located here. In the Member/Customer Number field, you will locate your IEEE National ID Number.

Joining Local IEEE

The local Fresno State chapter offers many services to its members, including free printing, complimentary coffee, snack bar credits during finals, and opportunities to attend extremely valuable conferences, trips, and events. Joining the local chapter requires your IEEE National ID Number and a members due fee of $10 as of Fall 2017. This fee is to help accommodate costs for printing, maintenance of the room, and improving the well-being of the club. Visit the IEEE room located at EE226 and request for a club officer to help vouch and verify your payment. Upon payment, you must also complete our IEEE Membership list signup form, and you will be good to go!
